  • Applicants must demonstrate B-average or better performance in a science or engineering undergraduate curriculum
  • Applicants are also expected to have completed General Chemistry I and II, Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III (multivariable calculus), and an Ordinary Differential Equations Course
  • Applicants who hold undergraduate degrees in chemistry, polymer science, physics, materials science, or any engineering discipline are encouraged to apply

  • Regarding ELP Exams
    • There are no minimum test score requirements to apply for admission consideration. However, it may be necessary to improve the applicant's English proficiency if he/she scored:
      • 99 or lower on the TOEFL internet-based test; or
      • 6.5 or lower on the IELTS
      • 68 or lower on the PTE Academic
  • Students admitted without a chemical engineering undergraduate degree are normally required to participate in the Scientist to Engineer program
    • These students must complete Essentials of Chemical Engineering A, and Essentials of Chemical Engineering B, in their first semester
  • Regarding GRE:
    • There are no minimum test score requirements to apply for admission consideration
    • The average GRE quantitative scores for past entering classes, in recent years, rank around 91%. Therefore, it is recommended that your scores in this section be comparable
