  • This course provides a balanced curriculum exploring the applications of pure sciences to food whilst also covering aspects of how a number of food components affect health
  • Year 1 introduces students to the major sources of food and their history, current trends in consumption, and key industrial processing operations
  • Year 2 modules deepen students understanding of food texture, flavour and taste
  • There is an optional placement year between the second and final year. Two options are available:
    • Industrial one-year placement (salaried)
    • International taught or research study abroad one-year placement

Entry Criteria

Class 12th60%
  • Applicants need to have Indian Standard XII qualification with 60-85% overall average including 75-90% in two relevant subjects
  • Subjects required:- one Science subject (including at least one of Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Mathematics)
  • If an A-Level science subject is taken, the university requires a pass in the practical science element, alongside the achievement of the A-Level at the stated grade

  • With no less than 5.5 in any component

PTE: 60
  • With no less than 56 in any component

  • Applicants with 70-75% marks in English in 12th standard depending on state board can fulfill English language requirement
