The Electrical Engineering discipline is concerned with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism
Graduates will have an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
Students gain an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
Graduates play key roles in solving technical problems in many areas including:
- Biomedical engineering
- Computers and digital hardware
- Control systems
- Electrical and alternative power
- Electronic materials and sensor devices
- Signal and image processing
- Telecommunications

Class 12th	50% Applicants should have an above-average academic record at least equivalent to a "B-" average (2.60 out of 4.00) or be in the top 60% of their class with suitable academic preparation Students should also complete the following core courses with a “C” average or above: 4 years of English 3 years of advanced math—Algebra I and higher 3 years of laboratory science 3 years of social science 1 year of fine arts (or AP Fine Arts score of 3 or above) Includes vocal, instrumental and studio arts Basic computer skills (students should have basic keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet and internet skills) Students who are homeschooled or attend a non-accredited high school must submit an official transcript and ACT or SAT scores for review SAT Math and Reading/Writing subscores must total 950 or higher
Exams	TOEFL: 61 IELTS: 5.5 PTE: 44
Additional info	SAT exam is not required, but is encouraged and strongly recommended for applicants (SAT Math and Reading and Writing subscores total 950 or higher if submitted)
