This degree in Economics and Politics allows students to explore the institutions and practices of modern political systems, alongside the institutions, principles and theories of economics
Students will develop in-depth understanding of the economic factors influencing income, wealth and wellbeing, as well as the ways in which they influence public policy
Students will study microeconomics and macroeconomics as well as gaining a foundation in political theory, international relations, development studies and systems of government
In Year 1 students will explore key concepts and debates in economics, as well as gaining the mathematical skills that they willl need for economic analysis
Core modules in Year 2 will give students a broad and deep understanding of microeconomics and macroeconomics, and they will be introduced to econometrics
In the final year, students will apply their knowledge and skills to their dissertation – an independent research project on a topic of their choice
Students will study modules like Economics and Global History, Economic Theory and Applications, Studying and Researching in POLIS, Comparative Politics, Freedom, Power and Resistance: An Introduction to Political Ideas, etc.

Class 12th	60% Applicants must have passed class 12th Standard with 60-85% overall average, including 75-90% in two relevant subjects A-level Politics is not a requirement Applications that include vocational A-level subjects such as AVCE (single or double awards) are also welcomed Generally, applicants are expected to have two ‘traditional’ academic subjects at A-level For more information, please refer to this link to know which subjects the university accepts
