- To survive and thrive in the music industry, students need more than talent. It’s vital to understand the sector inside-out so they can manage artists in the best possible way to negotiate contracts for them
- This is a unique program and is the only one of its kind in Quebec. Students will gain the knowledge to help them successfully start their own businesses and collaborate with artists
- Throughout the three semesters at Trebas Institute, students will cover the following areas:
- Planning and managing all of the aspects of an artist’s career
- Protecting an artist’s rights and ensuring equitable remuneration
- Planning and executing professional marketing campaigns
- Drafting and negotiating the music industry’s most important contracts and agreements
- Producing, coordinating, and promoting live concerts and tours
- Starting a business in the music industry
- Entrepreneurship
- Music publishing and administration
- The fundamentals of music production
- Effectively navigating the audio industry
- Understanding and implementing career development activities
- Upon graduation, students will be able to work with record labels, music publishers, licensing organizations, production companies, concert promoters, and app developers
