  • The pre-professional first year is foundational to the nursing program and will include courses in the humanities, natural, social, and health sciences.
  • Students in the program will be given the opportunity to engage in interprofessional scholarly learning experiences with students from medicine, dentistry, pharmacy,  nutrition, kinesiology, physical therapy, clinical psychology, and veterinary medicine in  Saskatchewan and around the world.

    • The calculated average of pre-professional classes (60% weighting)
    • Situational Judgement test score (40% weighting)
    • Completion of all other admission requirements
  • Applicants may be considered for admission with a deficiency in ONE of the following pre-professional year courses:
    • Nutrition or
    • Social Science or
    • Indigenous Studies or
    • Statistics

  • ELP requirements can be waived in below conditions:
    • Applicants who have studied the English language in 12th IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) OR 
    • Applicants who have studied at least 2 years of full-time study in an approved English-medium secondary program including Grades 11 and 12, as well as successful completion of Grade 12 English Language (or equivalents) with minimum final grades of 80% OR
    • At least 3 years of full-time study in an approved English-medium secondary program including Grades 10, 11, and 12, as well as successful completion of Grade 12 English Language Arts A30 and B30 (or equivalents)
    • At least 2.5 years of full-time study in an approved English-medium secondary program including Grades 11 and 12, as well as successful completion of Grade 12 English Language Arts A30 and B30 (or equivalents) with minimum final grades of 70%
    • Successful completion of at least one year of full-time study in a degree program from a recognized post-secondary institution where English is the official language of instruction and examination
