The course offers an in-depth understanding of the causes of disease and the practical ways in which they can be investigated in the laboratory
The first year is common to all bioscience students at UEL and covers four areas: essential chemistry, cell biology, biochemistry, and human anatomy and physiology
Students will do a core module in cellular pathology and blood science that will show them how to identify normal and pathological tissues using a microscope
This course is based on the study of the biology of disease

Class 12th	60% Applicants must have a qualification from a recognized institution or awarding body Applicants should have a degree equivalent to 12 / 13 years of education at a High School / Secondary School with the following grades: All India Senior School Certificate (including English Core; English Comm or Functional English): 60% or above National Education Boards (CBSE/CICSE): 60% or above State Boards (Maharashtra/West Bengal/Karnataka/Delhi/Tamil Nadu/Sikkim/Rajasthan/Madya Pradesh/ Seven Sisters of India): 60% or above and Kerala State Board: 65% or above Required Subject: English and Maths and Double Science
Exams	IELTS: 6 With a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognized equivalent) PTE: Accepted
Additional info	Applicants are exempted from English Test requirement who have studied in English medium throughout their studies and achieved one of the following results in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) /All India Senior School Certificate / Indian School Certificate / Intermediate Pass CertificateHigher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 / All India Senior School Certificate/Indian School Certificate / Intermediate Pass Certificate
