- Specialising in both education and computing will equip students with a valuable blend of skills and knowledge for a fulfilling career in computing education
- This three-year degree will teach students how elements of computing can be applied to education and wider society, and ultimately help them find their place in an ever-shifting technological and educational landscape
- Students will develop a keen appreciation of learning in a digital age and they will assess and reflect on digital learning technologies central to current trends in education theory and practice
- Students will consider education in the widest context outside of formal primary and secondary school settings, to include social services, local and national government, and education within the community
- Work placements will also be undertaken in organisations such as schools, local authorities, businesses and charities
- Students will also be introduced to computing skills such as programming and computing system analysis, as well as the fundamental mathematics and theory of computer science
- This degree is delivered through lectures, tutorials and seminars. Assessment includes essay, coursework and examination, presentations and a dissertation
