  • Prospective students who want to pursue a Rockford University degree are expected to have completed a college-preparatory program of 15 units at an accredited secondary school
  • Home-schooled students also should meet the unit requirements listed below. A proper high school foundation for success in college will generally include the following:
    • Four years of English
    • Three years of mathematics (introductory through advanced algebra, geometry, and trigonometry)
    • Three years of social sciences (emphasizing history and government)
    • Three years of laboratory science
    • Two years of electives chosen from music, art, and/or foreign language
  • Prospective students intending to major in scientific disciplines should take additional high school courses in science and mathematics
