- Applicants must have a 2.65 GPA on a 4.0 scale in High school
- Top 50% of the high school class
- Prospective students who want to pursue a Rockford University degree are expected to have completed a college-preparatory program of 15 units at an accredited secondary school
- Home-schooled students also should meet the unit requirements listed below. A proper high school foundation for success in college will generally include the following:
- Four years of English
- Three years of mathematics (introductory through advanced algebra, geometry, and trigonometry)
- Three years of social sciences (emphasizing history and government)
- Three years of laboratory science
- Two years of electives chosen from music, art, and/or foreign language
- Prospective students interested in humanities and social studies areas should have additional course work in literature, foreign languages and history
