  • Mechanical Engineering provides the student with fundamental training in the areas of statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials; thermodynamics and fluid dynamics; material properties and metallurgy; analysis and synthesis of mechanical systems; and mechatronics and controls
  • Students have option to choose for Mining Option which includes six courses and a twelve-month internship that provides a focus on mining industry topics
  • Students will complete several design projects throughout their degree, the most exciting is the fourth-year Capstone Design Project
  • The Capstone Design Project allows students to apply top-down design principles to a year-long project, starting with a basic description of the product or system and culminating in a presentation of a final working design

  • Applicants must have passed 12th with an average of 80%
  • Subjects required: Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics with a minimum grade of 60% is required in each of these courses

Additional info
  • ELP requirements can be waived in below conditions:
    • Applicants who have studied the English language in 12th IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) OR 
    • Applicants who have studied at least 2 years of full-time study in an approved English-medium secondary program including Grades 11 and 12, as well as successful completion of Grade 12 English Language (or equivalents) with minimum final grades of 80% OR
    • At least 3 years of full-time study in an approved English-medium secondary program including Grades 10, 11, and 12, as well as successful completion of Grade 12 English Language Arts A30 and B30 (or equivalents)
    • At least 2.5 years of full-time study in an approved English-medium secondary program including Grades 11 and 12, as well as successful completion of Grade 12 English Language Arts A30 and B30 (or equivalents) with minimum final grades of 70%
    • Successful completion of at least one year of full-time study in a degree program from a recognized post-secondary institution where English is the official language of instruction and examination
