  • In the Cybersecurity program, students will learn the fundamentals of information security, security infrastructure design and implementation, computer forensics, risk assessment and the impact of security requirements on business operations
  • Students will gain real-world experience by using DePaul’s information assurance and security laboratory, which includes multi-vendor firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN), intrusion detection and prevention systems, routers, switches and event correlation systems
  • This degree program prepares students for the fast growing cybersecurity field and careers in various environments such as corporations, government agencies and consulting
  • At the end of the program, students will be able to:
    • Identify the information security services provided by “Confidentiality,” “Integrity,” and “Availability” (CIA).
    • Analyze the security controls present in an environment and identify any improvements needed to implement fully a defense-in-depth model.
    • Design an enterprise infrastructure that implements a defense-in-depth model.
    • Develop security policies for an enterprise environment.
    • Interpret how some of the legal and regulatory requirements impact an enterprise environment.
    • Evaluate the threat sources, attack vectors and asset vulnerabilities in an enterprise environment via a risk assessment
