Sacramento State’s Computer Science Department is one of the oldest and largest computer science programs in the CSU system
The Programs enable individuals with a background in other areas to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to enter and/or advance in employment in computer-related industries
The Program includes courses like Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis, Computer Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Computer Graphics Programming, Database Management Systems, etc.
Students may receive a limited amount of academic credit for relevant work experience in Computer Science

Class 12th	80% Applicants must have completed High School with a minimum of 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale or an average of 80% marks The CSU requires that first-time freshman applicants complete, with grades of “C-” or better, a comprehensive pattern of college preparatory study totaling 15 units (a “unit” is one year of study in high school). Social science English Math (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; four years recommended) Laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical, both must have laboratory instruction) Foreign language Visual and performing arts: art, dance, drama/theater, or music Electives
