The Marshall University Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) program objectives are the following:
- B.S.E. graduates will be recognized for their success in designing engineering systems that promote the health, safety, and welfare of the public
- The B.S.E. graduate demonstrates their awareness of an engineer’s role in contemporary society and their understanding of the societal and environmental contexts of engineering projects
- The B.S.E. graduates will practice in specific areas of engineering consistent with the needs of the region served by Marshall University

Class 12th	No specific cutoff mentioned Applicants must have A high school diploma An overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and a SAT total score (CR+M) of 900(Prior to March 2016); 990 (After to March 2016)of 990; OR An overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a SAT total score (CR+M) of 770 (Prior to March 2016); 880 (After to March 2016) Prerequisite subjects: English (including courses in grammar, composition, and literature) Mathematics (including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry) Social studies (including U.S. studies/history) Science (all units must be college-preparatory laboratory science, preferably biology, chemistry, and physics) World language Arts
Exams	TOEFL: 61 IELTS: 6 SAT: 750 A minimum SAT composite of 750 with a SAT MATH section score of 580
Additional info	ELP Waiver: If the Applicant's Diploma or degree is from an English speaking school no need to provide ELP scores A degree from English speaking school - A degree or a diploma from an accredited secondary school, college or university in which the primary language of instruction for the entire institution is English
