The first two years of the civil engineering curriculum build a solid foundation in mathematics, science and engineering science which are the necessary building blocks for a successful career in engineering
The third year provides an introduction to the various civil engineering disciplines and engineering principles, methods of analysis, and design
The fourth year provides the opportunity to pursue either a broad-based program in general civil engineering or pursue more depth in an area of specialization by choice of one of eight tracks, described further below
The curriculum also includes courses in history, government/political science, social sciences, language, philosophy and culture and creative arts
Civil engineers are often employed in the general areas of land development, public works, and military engineering
Civil engineers work for consulting engineering firms, the energy industry, cities, counties, state agencies, federal agencies, utility agencies, various industries, and the military services

Class 12th	No specific cutoff mentioned Applicants must have passed 12th and completed the following courses: 4 years of English 4 years of Mathematics - Three of the courses must be Algebra I, II and Geometry 4 years of Science - Two courses must come from Biology I, Chemistry I or Physics I 2 years of the same foreign language
