  • Applicant must have one of the following certificates :
    • All India Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
    • Year 12 State Board Exams
  • Prerequisite: Grade 12th English with minimum 65 per cent and Grade 12th Mathematics with minimum 60 per cent
  • Students who do not possess Grade 12 Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission

Additional info
  • Applicants are required to submit a portfolio and a writing sample
    • Portfolio: Applicants must submit a portfolio that includes six creative pieces
      • Submission 1 – Perspective line drawing of a chair (two-point perspective)
      • Submission 2 – Perspective line drawing of one of the three kitchen appliances : Kettle, Coffee maker and Kitchen stand mixer
      • Submission 3 – Colour still life study that demonstrates use of colour and composition
      • Submission 4 – Three-dimensional work that demonstrates manual construction 
      • Submissions 5 and 6 – Submit examples of projects/pieces that further demonstrate applicant's skills and design sense. Examples include two-dimensional work such as sketching, drawing, CAD and graphics, three dimensional work
    • Writing Samples: 
      • Writing Sample #1 - Applicants will complete a 200 word writing sample describing their knowledge of industrial design and what skills and talents they possess that drew them to this program
      • Writing Sample #2 - applicants must list their extracurricular activities (e.g. hobbies, passions, volunteer work) as well as full-time or part-time work and describe how these experiences will enhance the applicants’ success in the program. (200 words)
  • All additional requirements should be submitted by March 23rd or 3 weeks from the date of application, whichever date is later
  • ELP can be waived for the applicants having :
    • a minimum of 3 years of full-time study at the secondary school level where english is the primary language of instruction and evaluation, with acceptable grades in all English courses
