Entry Criteria

  • The student must have completed a two-year diploma in an IT-related technology plus verification of skill sets specific to each Major concentration of study with a minimum GPA of 2.3
  • Course work must be completed within five years of the application date
  • Applicants who do not have a two-year diploma may be eligible for admission if 60 post-secondary credits in an accredited IT or computing science program have been completed. A minimum of 45 credits must specifically be related to the skillsets identified in the additional requirements or considerations of the major selected
  • Applicants who completed their related education more than five years ago and are working in an IT-related field may be eligible for admission through the Recognition of Prior Learning Pathway
  • In order to have the best opportunity for success, the program recommends that students have the following skill sets prior to applying and selecting their major:
    • Network Management Major Skillsets such as Network Fundamentals, Network Protocols, IT Security, Microsoft OS, Cisco, Programming
    • Information Systems Major Skillsets such as Programming, Data Theory, System Analysis, and Design, Business Processes, Logical Programming Solving, Operating System and Data Communication System 
ExamsTOEFL: Accepted
minimum score of 23 in the speaking component,minimum score of 20 in other components
IELTS: 6.5

  • Applicants must submit official transcripts from the last institutions attended
  • Post-secondary study permit (must be valid until after the start of class), or
  • Applicants post-secondary study permit that will expire before the start of class and a screenshot of their IRCC Portal showing that they have submitted an application for a study permit extension, or
  • Letter Of Introduction or Letter Of Approval issued by IRCC (the letter of introduction the visa office sent the applicant when they approved their study permit - this letter has the permit reference number which IRCC uses to issue the applicant's study permit), or
  • Verification of Status document 
  • Applicants secondary study permit and a screenshot of their IRCC Portal showing that they have applied for a post-secondary study permit

  • If an applicant has completed three (3) years of full-time consecutive academic studies (excluding ESL courses) where the language of instruction was in English from a country not included on the Exempt Country list above, then additional information is required. Full-time study for English Language Proficiency purposes is defined as successfully completing three courses per term for six terms over a span of three years
  • Applicants who confirm through transcripts that they have successfully completed three (3) full-time consecutive years of academic studies (excluding ESL courses) where the language of instruction was in English do not need to provide further proof of English Language Proficiency
