Communication Studies draws from the richness of the communication discipline to allow students to design programs of study that meet their unique interests and professional goals
Students can develop competencies in a number of areas, including intercultural and interpersonal communication, organizational communication, argumentation, event planning, persuasion, professional communication, visual communication, rhetoric and popular culture, and community relations
Communication Studies majors pursue careers in family businesses and for-profit and non-profit organizations or graduate school in communication, law, public policy, healthy policy, and administration, or business

- Students will apply communication theories to marketplace contexts

Additional info	English language test scores are not required for admission to undergraduate programs, but strongly encouraged The application is evaluated based on the applicant's academic performance in his/her educational system at home, and not his/her English ability. This system allows the applicant to be accepted to a degree program even if he/she needs English support before beginning a full-time academic study Students without TOEFL or IELTS scores are tested on campus with Accuplacer exam and Writing Sample and are then placed into appropriate coursework upon completion
