  • Throughout the course students will complete their professional Projects – an independent piece of research on a topic within mechanical engineering that allows them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills
  • In the two taught semesters, students will review the literature around their topics and plan the project, before completing the design, analysis, computation, experimentation and writing up in the summer months

  • Successful applicants have studied the following subjects: advanced mathematics, fluid mechanics, the strength of materials and dynamics

  • Some optional modules will also require studies covering thermodynamics but this is not essential to gain entry onto the course
