- BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance prepares students for a career in accountancy or the financial sector and gives a strong understanding of core business principles and practice
- Students develop an in-depth understanding of how accounting and finance fit into the broader context of business and management, and study topics such as:
- Capital Markets, Investment, and Finance
- Auditing
- Corporate Reporting
- Taxation
- Company Law and Administration
- Students learn how to develop and apply accounting and finance strategies that enhance corporate value, and develop the techniques and understanding of specialist databases required for a career in the accounting and finance sector
- If students opt for the 4-year degree, they will have the opportunity to do a one-year work placement. Work placements are extremely valuable in helping students to develop their understanding of all aspects of business
- This program provides students with a basic knowledge and understanding of some of the contexts in which accounting and finance operate e.g. the legal and social environment, the accounting and finance profession, the business entity, and the capital markets
