The university lags behind the competition for its international student population, as international students make up only 15% of its total student population despite its top ranking.

Princeton University was founded in 1746 and is one of the oldest universities in the US. It ranks highly at both the national and international levels. The university’s research output is among the best globally, earning a perfect 100 in the Citations per Faculty ranking. Princeton’s student population diversity is also impressive, with international students comprising 23.4% of the university’s over 8,000 students.

In this year’s top 10 list, it is fair to say that the University of Pennsylvania’s student-to-faculty ratio and academic reputation played a significant role. In addition, the University of Pennsylvania stands out from other Ivy League universities regarding diversity. Among students, the percentage of visible minorities is 51%, and over half (55%) of all students are female.
