Depending on students professional experience and previous qualifications, the Master of Arts (Writing and Literature) is typically 1, 1.5 or 2 years duration:
- 1-year full time (2 years part-time) – 8 credit points
- 1.5; years full time (3 years part-time) – 12 credit points
- 2 years full time (4 years part-time) – 16 credit points

Additional info	ELP requirements can be waived off if applicants study at an institution within a non-English speaking country, but where English is the language of instruction and assessment for the whole institution, completed no more than 5 years prior to enrolment at Deakin has successfully completed 2 academic years of full-time study at a Bachelor degree level equivalent or higher, with a minimum WAM of 55
