Deakin’s Master of Data Science prepares students for professional employment across all sectors.
The sheer volume and complexity of data already at the fingertips of businesses and research organizations give rise to challenges that must be solved by tomorrow’s graduates
Students will learn to understand the various origins of data to be used for analysis, combined with methods to manage, organize and manipulate data within regulatory, ethical and security constraints
To complete the Master of Data Science, students will complete 16 credit points
The course can be completed in the following duration:
- 1-year full time (2 years part-time) – 8 credits
- 1.5 years full time (3 years part-time) – 12 credits
- 2 years full time (4 years part-time) – 16 credits

Additional info	Any unit which contains work-integrated learning, a community placement or interaction with the community may require a police check, Working with Children Check or other checks ELP requirements can be waived off if applicants study at an institution within a non-English speaking country, but where English is the language of instruction and assessment for the whole institution, completed no more than 5 years prior to enrolment at Deakin has successfully completed 2 academic years of full-time study at a Bachelor degree level equivalent or higher, with a minimum WAM of 55
