University of Houston Clear Lake is one of the four educational institutions falling under the University of Houston System. The campus of the state university is spread over an area of 524 acres. Its campus is situated in the cities of Pasadena and Houston, Texas. The branch campuses of the university are located in Pearland and Texas Medical Centre.

The university comprises numerous colleges which include multiple centers and institutes that maintain various departments of study. The college of business comprises a center for executive education and departments dedicated to accounting, general business, healthcare administration, management, management information systems, decision sciences, economics, finance, and marketing.

The college of education comprises centers and institutions such as centers for the professional development of teachers, center for educational programs, diagnostic testing, professional development opportunities, reading writing spelling and study skills tutoring, learning resources review center, professional development laboratory schools and research center for language and culture. The institute has stream specific departments such as counseling, special education and diversity department, curriculum and instruction department, educational leadership and policy analysis department, literacy, library and learning technologies department.

The college of human sciences and humanities comprises centers and institutes such as art schools for children and young adults institute, center for autism and developmental disabilities, exercise and nutritional health institute, and psychological services clinic. The college comprises departments such as clinical, health and applied sciences, communication and studio arts, liberal arts, psychology, social and cultural studies. The university also has a college of science and engineering which includes cybersecurity institutes and centers for robotics software. The college has departments such as biology and biotechnology, computing sciences, engineering, environmental science, mathematics and statistics, physical and applied sciences. The university also offers online graduate, undergraduate, certificate programs. In total, the university offers 17 degrees and nine certificate programs.

University of Houston Clear Lake also has multiple scholarship opportunities for different types of courses which have been formulated keeping in mind the requirements of students.
